In order to strengthen their knowledge, learn about experiences, models and mitigation strategies to cope with climate change in relation to livestock, professors Ms.C Héctor V. Vásquez Pérez and Wilmer Bernal are doing training in "Livestock and climate change."

The Universidad Nacional Toribio Rodríguez de Mendoza de Amazonas received the recognition of the Ministry of Education and the Department of State of the United States which was received by the president of the University, Dr. Policarpio Chauca Valqui.

The Universidad Nacional Toribio Rodriguez de Mendoza de Amazonas (UNTRM) was selected to participate in partnerships with educational institutions in the USA. Sponsored by an Innovation Fund Grant from 100,000 Strong in the Americas.

In order to contribute to socioeconomic development and establish lines of intervention for the development of activities related to livestock and agriculture, the Universidad Nacional Toribio Rodriguez de Mendoza de Amazonas (UNTRM) and the Regional Government of Piura signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement.

With the participation of professors, students, administrative workers and guests, the Universidad Nacional Toribio Rodríguez de Mendoza de Amazonas (UNTRM) held the swearing ceremony of the elected authorities for the period 2017 – 2022.

After a demanding process of evaluation, the Consortium of Economic and Social Research - CIES, in its General Assembly held on November 23, agreed, unanimously, to incorporate the National University Toribio Rodriguez de Mendoza de Amazonas - UNTRM to this very important body.
